Mariangela Necklace
Lovely leaf-shaped paper beads with cream and black woodblock-print style flowers. Each glazed paper bead was meticulously created, using a process that takes over fifteen steps to complete per bead.
Handcrafted with Nepalese Lokta paper, and wire-wrapped on sterling silver ball headpins. The Lokta bush, a renewable source, grows in Nepal, high up in the Himalayas; Lokta paper is made from the inner bark.
Center paper bead length: 1”; width: under 1/2”. The other beads decrease slightly in size - the smallest paper bead measures under 1/2” long; 1/4" wide. Sterling silver chain, 17”. $63 |
